WHEN?
July 19th 2008; Registration 8:00 – 8:45am. Games start at
9:00am, 12:15pm, 3:30pm and 6:45pm on Saturday.
WHERE?
St John’s Lutheran Church, 600 University Drive,
Lake Charles LA.
DIRECTIONS:
Take 1-10 to Lake Charles then take
the I-210 Loop. Take exit 6A Ryan St. then head south on Ryan St.
Go about 1.5 miles on Ryan St. past McNeese State University. Ryan St.
will continue on to University Dr. after McNeese St. Go ˝ mile to Jefferson Dr.
and take a right. St. John Lutheran Church is on the corner of Jefferson Dr. and
University Dr. Meeting Room is in the front of the building behind the church.
SECTIONS?
There
will be only one open section. It is a 4 round G-90 Swiss System.
COST?
Entry
fee is $20 by May 1st and $25 after that or at site. (Scholastic players $15 or $20 at
site). USCF membership is
required.
PRIZES?
There
will be only one open section. Cash prizes and trophies will be awarded.
Class & Scholastic prizes too. First
place from Calcasieu Parish is 2007 Lake Charles Chess Champion.
