2009 Southwest LA Scholastic Chess Championship

Time: 9:00 – 9:30
am check-in and late registration
Rounds: 1st
round starts at 10:00am. Each round lasts about an hour. Rounds are played back
to back.
Sections: K-3,
4-5, 6-8, 9-12 individual and team. Top 4 scores of players from the same school
will count as a team score. Only schools from Calcasieu, Cameron, Allen,
Beauregard, and Jeff Davis Parishes are eligible to win team prizes. Others may
win individual prizes.

Sections: K-3, 4-5, 6-8
Trophies awarded to top ten individuals and top 3
teams in each section.

9-12
Trophies
awarded to top five individuals and 1st place team.
USCF-recommended
computer tie breaks will decide trophy placement. Playoffs will determine trophy
placements for individuals tied with perfect scores. Award Ceremony estimated
time 3:00pm
